The American Society for Microbiology is seeking highly qualified individuals to work as consultants for capacity building of international HIV/AIDS microbiology laboratories in resource-poor, French-speaking countries, especially in sub-Saharan Africa. Experience is needed for hands-on diagnostics for HIV/AIDS-related opportunistic infections (OIs), particularly bacteriology, mycology, and parasitology. These activities may include short or long-term travel and can develop with little notice.
